![]() SimServe is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool that runs in the background whenever the computer is powered on. This lets the user easily set Modbus register values in human readable formats for data types that span multiple registers, like 32 bit integers, 32 bit floats and 64 bit floats.Īdditionally, the user may configure the bit/byte/word order of each device to ensure it matches the production unit, which will eliminate the guess work of “byte swapping” at the time of deployment. SimServe also allows the creation of tags linked to Modbus registers with configurable data types. SimServe allows each simulated device to be assigned a unique IP address or serial COM Port, and it can even simulate protocol converters like a Modbus TCP to RTU gateway. With SimServe the engineer can create simulated devices in a network tree to realistically represent a production network. Several features make development tasks easier for engineers. When an engineer is developing a system that communicates to an external device using Modbus, but the device isn’t available, this simulator tool allows work to continue and development to be verified. SimServe can simulate an unlimited number of Modbus devices using Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII and Modbus TCP/IP. SCADAmatic has introduced SimServe, a professionally developed Modbus Slave Simulator tool for any software developer or systems integrator working with the Modbus protocol.
